Exam Board: Edexcel

This is an exciting an inspirational vocational course designed to prepare you for courses you may study in post 16; and in to the digital work sector. Our course will allow you to technical knowledge and skills related to data management, data interpretation, data protection, and data presentation.


The course is to be completed over a two year period. The course is assessed over three main components as follows:

Component 1:

Exploring User Interface Design Principles and Project Planning Techniques – Course work

Component 2:

Collecting, Presenting and Interpreting Data – Coursework

Component 3:

Effective Digital Working Practices – External assessment completed in 1 hour 30 minutes. This assessment is worth 60 marks and builds upon skills and knowledge from components 1 and 2.


This course can be useful in many ways, but will suit those with a genuine passion to learn how we can use computers to improve and support all daily tasks. Candidates should be enthusiastic and willing to work hard.
