On the Tuesday 27th February a group of Year 10 students had a bespoke cooking session with the Royal Navy. The students were allocated into groups where each group made Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic Bread and Sticky Toffee Pudding with Toffee Sauce. The students built on skills learned in their Food Technology lessons, for example the importance of reading a method, accurately measuring ingredients and core cooking temperature of 75C. Students behaved impeccably and really enjoyed the session. Some comments from the students were "It was an amazing experience", "One of the best days in schools I've had" and "The Royal Navy were kind and helped with questions and cooking."
