Year 7 Year Group Intent

As a new member of our Kirk Hallam community, in year 7, we expect that students make the transition from primary to secondary school successful by becoming more independent, mature and resilient. This will be aided by new relationships that will develop with staff and students alike. When making the step up from primary school, acceptance and tolerance is essential to become embedded in our school community. Students are expected to seize new opportunities that arise in year 7 which will further develop their overall character.

The unashamedly ambitions nature of our school means that students in year 7 need to be socially and emotionally intelligent, ensuring that they have high aspirations for themselves and others around them. This will be essential in becoming a successful student in year 7 at Kirk Hallam Community Academy.
