Annual Kirk Hallam Careers Fair (Careers - 18/03/2025)

On Tuesday 11th March, 24 different post-16 providers, local companies, Universities and national organisations attended the Annual Kirk Hallam Careers Fair in our own Sports Hall. All students from Y8 up to Y13 attended and were engaged in conversations relating to their own careers. For some it was a first opportunity to gather information and start to look at possible options for their future.

Initiating the student conversations was assisted by input ahead of the careers fair to explain what it was, who would be there and what to ask.

We were delighted to welcome Nottingham, Derby and Confetti Colleges, Bilborough sixth form (as well as our own sixth form), the Army, RAF, Police and Fire Service as well as Rolls Royce, Woehner UK Ltd, and various training providers. Nottingham Forest FC and Derby County FC were also represented, as were Derby and Keele University.

Students were able to take part in some activities but the main focus was raising awareness of the range of options available and how to make informed choices relating to their future careers.
